Fashionista                                                 July 7-18                         9am-12 noon

It’s Toy Town’s very own “Project Runway” as aspiring designers explore the world of fashion design and its processes through hands on projects and interactive lessons.

This camp will conclude with a fun fashion show!

Suggested ages:              8-13

 

Candy Creations                                      July 14-18                       1-4 pm

For those with a sweet tooth for creativity, this camp is perfect!  Campers will learn about candy and toy design as they re-create toy using candy.  Camp will include experiments with candy, design and learning about toys with a candy connection.

Suggested ages:              8-13

Playing with History                   July 21-25                       9am-12 noon

Experience American history like never before!  Through the use of board games and role playing campers will go on an incredible adventure through time learning about times in our great country’s history.

Suggested ages:              6-13

Cartooning                                                  July 21-25                       1-4 pm

The inspiration for many toys from the past and today have come from a piece of paper or what you see on tv.  Campers will learn how comics, cartoons and toys have gotten there start as they learn the art of cartooning and create their very own characters.

Art Makes You Smart                                                       July 28-August 1         

                                                                      9:30-11:30 am  ages 6-9          1-3 pm ages 10-13

An exploration of art, design, visual literacy and the beauty of mathematics while creating beautiful art. 

Mornings with the Masters                   August 4-8                      9-11 am

An opportunity for young artists to be inspired by the masters as Picasso, Matisse and Miro as they draw, paint and create.

Suggested ages:              8-13

Green America                                        August 4-8                      1-4 pm

As Americans work to help our environment, kids can pitch in too!  Campers will spend the week learning about recycling and have the opportunity make fun toys and useful items from recyclable items.

Suggested ages:              8-13

 

Students attending morning and afternoon classes in the same week can bring a bag lunch and enjoy lunch at the museum.
